How to display a parking permit

We'll show you exactly how we like the permits displayed correctly as it seems to be an issue for some. Incredibly, some have great trouble displaying a permit on their dashboard or attached to their windscreen.

Below are the right ways and wrong ways to display a permit. Follow this and you'll never go wrong!

We don't tell the motorists how to affix a permit as it should be simple common sense and some people have different ways of affixing. Some like to sellotape it onto the windscreen, some like to use blu tac and some like to wedge it into the A pillar facing outwards. All four corners should be visible, along with the site name, property number/name, expiry date and our unique hologram.

Some people like to sellotape it to the windscreen so it won't move. Some like to use Blu tac. Whatever works for you.
The best position for our permits is on the passenger side lower down, just like where we used to display tax discs.
Don't display it upsidedown. All the verifying details are on the other side. It states on the permit which way is the correct way.
Don't have it wedged down or slipped below the windscreen surround or up in sun strip. It's obvious that it is not displayed correctly.
Don't squeeze the permit in like this. It makes it hard to see and it can't easily be verified.
Don't have anything covering your permit.

The majority of our permits in circulation are bright yellow (we also have some ice white). They are purposely this colour so we can easily identify them on the dashboards and windscreens. As we work day and night, yellow is the best colour to use. Our permits are larger than most other parking permits in use as we want them to be easily seen! No point of making them really small and white, that makes them harder to spot and makes you more liable to recieve a parking charge. All we ask is for you is to follow the instructions above. As long as the permit is clearly displayed, no obstructions, no weird positions, not faded into obscurity, then all will be well!

The QR code on the reverse of the parking permits is the same as you see elsewhere. It's a digital barcode link to our website, that's it. It's the same as you get in McDonald's or at a Weatherspoon pub.

 

With over 7000 of these permits in circulation you can understand why we need to see all the details. Many of the sites we enforce are next to each other or very close by. So by making it difficult to identify the permit we can assume that you could be from another site nearby. This does happen and we do catch motorists doing exactly this.
